Big Problem.... FS9 doesnt start anymore!

Featured Replies

Hi Folks,I installed Cloud9 F4 Phantom and restarted the PC. After that I cannot start FS9 any more. Just befor I get to the flight creation page, FS9 closes back to desktop without any error message. What can cause this? I already checked a lot what could cause this... Hi,In situations such as these I create another folder 'Phantom' in My Documents perhaps, rerun the install pack into that folder and see exactly what is there; and then go into the folders in the sim and delete everything that was found. Unlesss things have been overwritten you may be OK.There is also the control panel/ add or remove option. Then I think it's best to restart the computer.Andy.

Torben; You probably have the Cloud9 F-4 set as your default plane...not recommended. Should always be a MS default bird.Open your Fs9 Flightsother directoryOpen the file FLTSIM.FLT with notepad or other text editorIn the Plane section, change the line Aircraft= toAircraft=Cessna Skyhawk 172SPSave the file and try loading again...then create a flight with the F-4.Tsch

And if that dosen't work, there is always 'System Restore'?I usually go 'Start/FS9/Troubleshooting/Reset Defaults'.

even THAT didnt work! I changed the aircraft to default in the last Flight and from the desktop created flight and even I deleted the gauges of the F4 Phantom. Nothing helped at all!I restored even the textures and scenery I changed by overwriting them with a freeware scenery and made a restore as you wrote. Nothing!_______________________Regards, Torben HadlerBeta-Tester ACLoader 3 + 4http://www.fsflightdeck.com/acloader.htmlT-A-H MultiMedia Productions Torben Hadler - http://www.t-a-h.com || [email protected]: CPU: AMD 64 4000 | MoBo: MSI K8N Neo2 64 | RAM: 1024MB 400MHz DDR | MSI NVIDIA GF6200 | Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS | CH-YOKE + Peddals; Primary: 17" Belinea TFT * Secondary: Philips 150S4 TFT 15" || Software: Display Resolution used: 1280x1024 in WinXP and FS9.1 | WinXP Pro SP1b (German Version); DX9c | FS9.1 pro (German Versions) - all sliders maxed about 80-95% | ever latest FSUIPC licenced | AS2004 | Alert!! pro | UT 2004 | RC4.x | FSBuild 2 | ACLoader 4.2 | FS Panel Studio | AFCAD 2.2.1 and much more...

I found the problem and solved it! It was my outdated Addon Manager from Cloud9. After I looked in the cloude9 forum about it, I d/l it and installed it. Now all is working as it should again!_______________________Regards, Torben HadlerBeta-Tester ACLoader 3 + 4http://www.fsflightdeck.com/acloader.htmlT-A-H MultiMedia Productions Torben Hadler - http://www.t-a-h.com || [email protected]: CPU: AMD 64 4000 | MoBo: MSI K8N Neo2 64 | RAM: 1024MB 400MHz DDR | MSI NVIDIA GF6200 | Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS | CH-YOKE + Peddals; Primary: 17" Belinea TFT * Secondary: Philips 150S4 TFT 15" || Software: Display Resolution used: 1280x1024 in WinXP and FS9.1 | WinXP Pro SP1b (German Version); DX9c | FS9.1 pro (German Versions) - all sliders maxed about 80-95% | ever latest FSUIPC licenced | AS2004 | Alert!! pro | UT 2004 | RC4.x | FSBuild 2 | ACLoader 4.2 | FS Panel Studio | AFCAD 2.2.1 and much more...
