July 25, 200718 yr As stated in the subject, when I reload a flight previously saved in order to continue, I have found that some times the plane tends to veer to rigth, as soon the autopilot is turned off. The flights were saved in route, autopilot on. Actually I have observed this condition with the Mooney Bravo, but I can't discard it happens with other crafts. Also, disabling the joystick is of no use. It doesn't appear to be related with winds or weather conditions, as far as the plane keep turning all the time. Pressing Num-5 has no effect.Any hint, please? Thanks in advance,JAMM --- Simmer since 1984. FsPassengers Company: Crowned Crazy Crow Airways ("You get what you deserve")
July 25, 200718 yr Hi PalafoxI am not at the simulator right now, but at work. But I seem to remember one thing about the default Mooney Bravo. It use fuel from the left tank, and therefor over time gets unbalanced. As long as you use the the autopilot, it will automatically compensate for that unbalance, but as soon you turn the AP off it will then veer to the right. On the main panel is a fuel tank selector switch. Change from left tank to right tank from time to time - and check the amount of fuel in the tanks.Hope this helpsRegardsHenrik KorningGreenland
July 25, 200718 yr Author Wow! That's right, Henrik, a fine guess. The left tank read about 3/4 and the right one was full, so this must be the reason of this behaviour. Messing just a bit with the rudder trimmer solved the problem. I've learned the lesson: next time, I'll try to know better the plane I'm flying on. FS2004 maybe is not the most accurate flight simulator in the world but it has certainly become an amazingly complex one!So, again many thanks, Henrik, for your helpful advice.JAMM --- Simmer since 1984.
