October 1, 200718 yr I had read on here someplace about the parameters that could be adjusted for modifying AI aircraft behavior. On initial climb, my FSP A330's climb faster than they normally would. They reach 6000 before they are 10 miles and out of sight. What can I change to bring them down a bit? Thanks
October 2, 200718 yr Your Airbus should have an "autopilot" section in the aircraft.cfg with lines resembling...{autopilot}autopilot_available= 1flight_director_available= 1default_vertical_speed= 1800.0 <<<<<<< Hooked since FS4... now flying: FSX Acceleration on Win7/64, Core Duo E8400; GA-EP45-DS3R; GTX 460-768MB; 4G RAM; Freezer 7 Pro
October 2, 200718 yr I wonder if this is a similar problem to the one I have where my Ultimate Traffic A330's make a really steep approach to land? Mark Adeane - NZWN

I'm not sure the AI mechanism recognizes the autopilot in the AI planes. I read that someplace. It might have to do with the throttle settings or the wing area giving too much lift. I'll look at those.
October 2, 200718 yr Don't know if this matters, but I remember hearing that all AI planes fly at zero fuel weight (empty) at all times. Could explain why your 330 rate of climb is too steep.John
October 2, 200718 yr That could be the this model seems to be the only one with such a steep climb rate. The others climb pretty realistically, though they all climb faster than real aircraft. I just notice this one more so.
