November 19, 200718 yr There is a folder under c:documents and settingsuserapplication datamicrosoftfs9 entitled aircraft. In that folder I found a large series of folders for aircraft that I deleted monthsyears ago. Is there any reason to keep the old no longer used aircraft folders? This is just a question about cleaning up my system.ThanksTom
November 19, 200718 yr Go ahead and delete them if you want to be organized. Just make sure that you don't remove any active aircraft you have currently installed. You may also want to check if any of the old aircraft are still listed in the main FS9 aircraft folder as well. Sometimes uninstalls are not very thorough.Kim
November 20, 200718 yr Author Thanks Kim - Most of the folders are from freeware aircraft that I have tried over the years that I have either deleted or have upgraded.Tom
November 21, 200718 yr Tom,those folders contain a "state.cfg" file. Surely you looked inside?...It just records the engine time of each A/C flown so it can display same in intstruments. You can delete any/all if you want. Sim will re-create only the ones that it uses. Didn't you ever wonder how many hours you've flown this or that?Loyd Hooked since FS4... now flying: FSX Acceleration on Win7/64, Core Duo E8400; GA-EP45-DS3R; GTX 460-768MB; 4G RAM; Freezer 7 Pro
November 22, 200718 yr Author Loyd,Thanks. Yes I did look inside, but some of the folders were empty. They have been optional freeware/addon aircraft that I never used. Thanks againTom
