January 6, 200818 yr Hello,I've seen a couple of posts that talk about refreshing scenery during a flight. I'm curious to know what is the advantage of doing that?ThanksScott.
January 6, 200818 yr Some users experience blurrie scenery textures as they fly - many possible reasons for that - and refreshing the scenery will most often put the textures back in focus. There may be other reasons for doing it but this is perhaps the most often cited one.
January 6, 200818 yr Scott- on my system, FPS can sometimes slowly decline without it being obvious. A common situation is flying into an area of higher density scenery such as an airport approach. It's a very subtle phenomenon and I suspect many simmers don't notice.I have the Refresh Scenery command mapped to the Pause/Break key. When you strike it, FS9 pauses for 3 or 4 seconds, then resumes full blast! It has become second nature to do this in prep for an approach- and in fact, at any time in the vicinity of an airport whether taxiing or airborne.Alex Reid
