Hi David and thanks for your responce.I had the same thing a few weeks ago and had to re-load FS9 which put everything back to default.I reloaded my Ultimate Terrain and I reckon that is what has caused it?

You still have not said specifically when you see the error message - while FS is loading or when you try to fly or ??On the face of it it seems there is a corrupt file and if FS2004 started and worked OK without any additions, and the error message only appears after you have installed UT then that would be most likely culprit.It still would help to know exactly when the message appears though.

It appeared on startup, now I have uninstalled it and the problem has gone.
