Washington DC Area Scenery?

Featured Replies

Is there any good Washington DC area scenery available either payware or freeware (preferably non photo real)? With UT USA the mall is missing among other things.Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!Mike

Hi Mike, I am not sure about the mall - but - I would make sure you have this loaded... It puts back many of the objects removed by UT - and they are now in their correct positions... http://www.qlrp4ut.com/#### Ray Lunning created a fantastic bridges package - it adds most of the missing bridges in FS9 - East of the Mississippi... "Bridges 4 UT Update Eleven" http://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=86914####And finally - I like Cloud 9 KDCA payware... Great airport - although - you need a decent machine to get good frame rates... http://www.fscloud9.com/php/products.php?lang=EN&id=151####That's about all I have in DC... I don't care for the photoreal scenery either... Best of luck...Scott

Airports wise there is a freeware in the library for KDCA by Shez Ansari. It was made for fs2002 but there is an update somewhere. Its not a bad scenery and its a good option if you dont want to buy the Cloud 9 DCA. Blueprint makes a KIAD as payware but its nowhere near the level of Flytampa, FSDT, or Imaginesim, but it looks better than the default. There is also a freeware KBWI in the library plus (possibly but I forget) some lights for the river visual to KDCA

I am not planning to run around after chicky girl babes around the airport. In and out, and the freeware scenery is pretty good since that I have never made one.About Cloud9, don't do the trial unless you are so desperate you ARE going to buy. Otherwise you will be trying to figure out what happened to the Potomac for 2 weeks like I did!
