Has anyone auditioned the Boeing 737-7H4 Southwest Airlines Tributes package?http://library.avsim.net/search.php?Search...=root&Go=SearchI cannot get the nose gear to retract after takeoff (the main gear does).I aliased the panel to the default B737-400 panel as they did not include a panel - just said a panel must be downloaded separately (no recommendation). The website makes no mention that I could see of a "fix".Has anyone else experience this same issue?

Looks like you got a bad contact point.in the aircraft.cfg file you'll see a section called [contact points] or [points] or something similar. Some of those are for the gear. I had a plane that had that problem and then when I changed it to the correct numbers - voila - the gear went up.now the thing is to know what the proper numbers are. Could you post the [...points] section for this aircraft and we'll see if we can get it on the manufacturers/users website or search for the proper values on the web via google etc.thanks.Paul

What you say may be true, but before I go to a lot of trouble I am wanting to determine if anyone else has the same problem (nose gear not retracting) or if it is just a fluke on my system.I find it hard to believe that Posky would not have seen this during their Beta testing prior to releasing the package.

Also - looking in the zip file - did you check out the file called: Other default contact points.txt?The developer states:NOTE!!!!--I converted the gear points to the older "3-point" format due to me having reverser deployment issues. If you don't like them, here's the default points...//-------------//// Nose Gearpoint.0 = 1, 32.200, -0.67, -8.26, 1181.1, 0, 1.777, 75.00, 0.350, 0.650, 0.850, 9.000, 9.000, 0, 235.0, 320.0point.1 = 1, 32.200, 0.67, -8.26, 1181.1, 0, 1.777, 75.00, 0.350, 0.650, 0.850, 9.000, 9.000, 0, 235.0, 320.0maybe you need to change them back to their default points for the nose gear?Thanks.

There is also these entries for the nose gear in that file as well.//FUll Motion, Realistic feel, true footprint contact points//// Nose Gear//point.0 = 1, 32.200, -0.67, -10.85, 1181.1, 0, 1.777, 75.00, 3.000, 1.500, 0.650, 9.000, 9.000, 0, 235.0, 320.0//point.1 = 1, 32.200, 0.67, -10.85, 1181.1, 0, 1.777, 75.00, 3.000, 1.500, 0.650, 9.000, 9.000, 0, 235.0, 320.0

Yes, I have read the documentation. My original question (still unanswered) was simply an inquiry whether anyone else who has installed the aircraft has experienced the same issue - nose gear not retracting - or not.

I'm going to try it later on tonight and I'll let you know man.Thanks.Paul.

Initially my nose gear wouldn't go up either. But I got it fixed.Replace all your contact points with what you see below.//// Nose Gearpoint.0 = 1, 32.200, -0.67, -10.85, 1181.1, 0, 1.777, 75.00, 3.000, 1.500, 0.650, 9.000, 9.000, 0, 235.0, Thanks - I really appreciate your effort.Just curious........ are the changes you posted the same ones which were in the package or did you have to tweak them further to get the nose gear working properly?I still find in strange that the nose gear problem was not mentioned in the documentation. Unless I just missed it, the only caveat I saw was that the various conctact point adjustments the author included were to address some issues with the thrust reversers.I have always been amazed at this aircraft in real life which I have often seen at KDAL (Dallas Love - near where I live) and how close to the ground the engine covers (flattened on the lower side) appear to be - at least when viewed from a terminal window. Thanks again.

Yes the engines on the 737's are pretty close to the ground. The contact points I used were in the:Other default contact points.txt file that was included in the .zip file.Yes the designer changed the contact points due to that reverser deployment issue he stated but I just took the set of contact points that was under the heading of://FUll Motion, Realistic feel, true footprint contact pointsremembering to take the // off of the entries for points 0 through 5.I didn't change any numbers - just substituted the ones provided in this text file and put them into the correct section in the aircraft.cfg file.So glad this worked for ya and any other questions or help please feel free to ask and I'll help where I can.Thanks.Paul.
