Some sets of water textures try and remedy this, but at the end of the day it's an FS9 problem. I have always preferred the default water textures to be honest. Some of the replacements I've tried, make it worse.

Hello I don't think SoftHoz will help with square water.Whenever iam having a bad bout of square H20 or flat horizons(softhoz should help with that)i just alter my view point.thats all i can do.PS what is particularly frustrating is that you do sometimes get different areas of ocean textures merging quite naturally,but in the same area square water...just another fs9 mystery.Andy
