Praise for FS9 vs FSX

Recommended Posts

Hello,Just a word in these troubled times!Long time sim flyer here - no real pilot just a sim flyer. Over the years I have built a rather large sim system ( three computers that run FS9 FSX and Xplane. I have a big GOFLIGHT system and a lot of addons. Recently, I bought a new computer (DELL XPS 730) so that I could run FSX. Now that I can, I realize that my FS9, at least for me, is far more enjoyable and capable. No insult to users of FSX but for me, my FS9 system is more than I could have ever dreamed of having.I run AES for airport services, AS6 for weather, Trackir with the new tracking element on my headset and most recently ITS YOUR PLANE for voice control. My flights are controlled by PFE. Traffic is from World of AI. All of this is running on my new XPS at 40 FPS and I don't need a lot of tweaks anymore. Years ago, a sim of this capability would have cost millions.I have a world of scenery and environmental addons for realism. I keep my flights to under two hours and probably fly at least one each day. What a joy! I am always grateful to those on this forum for their years of support that have helped me get to this position with my sim. Thanks to all and cheers,Ron Sagelnear KCHS

I agree with everything you say, it's said many times here before. I guess FS9 is in it's golden age with all the add-ons freeware and payware not to mention how fluid it runs with 100% AI.What's also great about FS9 is the support you mention, every possible question is answered, most issues solved (except for random CTD's....:-hang:))I'm sure FSX has it's advantages but it still has a long way to reach FS9's level in customer satisfaction.
