September 7, 200718 yr Hi everybody,Since several days I am reading everything about TP.Here I have a selfbuilt 747 cockpit with 2 projectors for outside view.I have 2 client pc's with PM.Photorealistic ground scenery is the best to have, so TP is a wonderfull addon. To be able to fly with a jet above photo-scenery I use FsEarth between FSX and Google earth. I start my flights with FSX scnery and when passing 3000 ft I minimize the FSX view and maximize the Google view ( in tilted mode ).In that way i can fly with jet speeds.Very impressive on my 11ft wide screen.Unfortunately no clouds...And I have to switch between the Google view and FSX view when lading/climbing.It would be perfect if ever TP could get FSX to load all tiles much faster so at 2500 ft 150 knots / 5000 ft 250 knots would be possible.Keep up the good work. 5950x3d 5.4-5.7 GHz - Asus ROG 870 Crosshair Apex - GSkill Neo 2x 24 Gb 6000 mhz / cas 26 - MSI RTX 5090 Gaming Trio OC - 1x SSD M2 6000 2TB - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 1Tb - Corsair 5400 case - Corsair 360 liquid cooling set - 3x 75’ TCL tv. 13600 6 cores @ 5.1 GHz / 8 cores @ 4.0 GHz (hypterthreading on) - Asus ROG Strix Gaming D - GSkill Trident 4x Gb 3200 MHz cas 15 - Asus TUF RTX 4080 16 Gb - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 2TB - 2x Sata 600 SSD 500 Mb - Corsair D4000 Airflow case - NXT Krajen Z63 AIO liquide cooling - FOV : 200 degrees My flightsim vids : https://www.youtube.com/user/fswidesim/videos?shelf_id=0&sort=dd&view=0
September 11, 200718 yr My take is "no". FSX is loading these tiles not fast enough. You'd need an 8 core system to reach jet speeds. ;)I heard with 4 core systems and FSX SP1 people managed to fly 300 knots without blurries using TP. But the preload feature of Tileproxy had to be disabled, as it got confused by the multi-core access to terrain tiles.
September 12, 200718 yr Hi,Well there is very good news then. Last week a well informed person told me that Intel was planning to make chips with 8 cores and much more! Hugo
