Certainly the depiction of thermals in the sim seems to go when using TP - don't know if the actual sim thermals go though. Would like someday to fly gliders in the sim with TP.Barry

Since they are integrated with the land class system, the standard thermals disappear when you use photo scenery. The thermals created by missions or via SimConnect, as well as thermals created as scenery objects (I thing ridge lift is created that way, not really sure about thermals) should stay, though, along with their visual depiction. It might be possible to associate the photo scenery 'landclass' (if such a thing exists) with thermals, but then they'd appear anywhere, regardless of the ground below, which is not quite realistic, either.

Thanks for that - I have been looking for a "slow" a/c that I can use with TP - something just a bit more challenging than the Piper Cub :-) Looks like it will have to be the helos - I have never been able to bother figuring them out - maybe this is now a great opportunity.Barry
