Dave,Give this thread a read and see if it helps you.http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtop...memory+texturesKim
Kim;Thanks for the suggestion. Problem is that FS9 will not even load....the error comes in the very first moments of start-up. I'd feel better if it happened during flight but can't even get to that point.Dave

Try going into your <fs9>\Flights\other directory, open FLTSIM.FLT, and find the "Plane" section, i.e.:
[Plane]Aircraft=Cessna Skyhawk 172SP...other stuff

Manually replace the aircraft= line with the default C172 as it appears in the box above.RegardsBob ScottColonel, USAF (ret)ATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-VColorado Springs, CO

Dave,Your problem may be Vista 32 and your 4GB's of memory and the 3GB switch. As I sit here typing with my right hand and not flying in FS9 due to a broken wrist, I did some more searches for you since I've had the benefit of reading these in the past. Look at some of these threads and see if you can get some ideas to try, especially the first 4. If all else fails, you may have to reinstall FS9, but I would try these suggestions first since you have Vista 32 and 4GB's of RAM.http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtop...=3G+Ram+Vista32http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtop...p=0entry0http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtop...\+Vista+32http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtop...\+Vista+32http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtop...\+Vista+32http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtop...=3G+Ram+Vista32Kim
