December 30, 200817 yr Wondering if anyone else has sound issues with the c130 pro pack?what I hear on my end is when throttling up from VC (or external actually as well) the sound starts good, but when it gets to about 40% throttle it almost cuts out. It's horrible actually. The roar is gone and all I hear is an air-like sound. The only way to get the roar back is to cycle the sound on/off with the Q key. Quite annoying.I'm running an x-fi with beta vista x64 drivers. I did install the Open AL when prompted during the install. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
December 30, 200817 yr Yes, same here with Vista 64 and X-Fi. I think we can be happy that it doesn't crash... :( Cheers Heiko i920 D0 @ 4.2 Ghz water cooled | 200x21 | Gigabyte X58A-UD3R | G.Skill 6GB F3-16000CL9 @ 2000 MHz 9-9-9-24 1T (1.60v) | 2x Intel X25-M G2 160 GB SSD, 2x Raptor 150, 1x WD 2500 KS 16 MB S-ATA2 | Tagan 1100 | EVGA GTX 480 Hydro Copper FTW @ 865/1729/2000 -> 59 C | 24" Benq FP241 6ms LCD @ 1920x1200x32, 2 x 19" Samsung 970P 6ms LCD @ 1280x1024x32 | Sound - Xonar Essence ST, Fatality HS-1000 headset | Saitek X52 Pro | Win7 Ultimate 64 | SuperPi 1M - 9.6 sec
December 30, 200817 yr Author Hmmm, but it is annoying. I downloaded the latest Creative drivers and maybe that will make a difference. If not, I found some C130 sounds for FSX here @ avsim, filename c-130-sound.zip if you're interestedupdate: Hey I tried that new sound - it's WAAAAY better. Sounds like the real thing (I work them all the time in Duluth, it's that loud obnoxious roar hehe) And it doesn't do the screwy thing that the default pack does | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

I'm also running Vista x64 and a Creative X-Fi.I logged a support ticket with CS, but they closed it reffering me to a Knowledge Base article, which suggests it's a known fault and may be fixed in a future Service Pack.I've asked if there is an SP in the works, but no answer as yet.Good tip on the alternative sounds - I'm going to try them out now. :( Cheers
December 30, 200817 yr Yeah, thanks !
