Featured Replies

this being my first computer build, i ordered all the parts and when they came today i realized i didnt get the cables to connect my drives because i thought that they would come with the drives. so my question is, i know that for my hard drive, i need a SATA 2 cable, but what about the dvd drive? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16827135176 thats the one i got. and also, do i need power cables for them? adamok, so my asus p6t delux came with some serial ATA calbes, are these SATA cables? im so lost right now

Your motherboard should come with SATA cables, and IDE cables. For that motherboard, which is SATA2, use the cables that came with it for SATA drives. For the DVD drive, should also be atleast one IDE cable in the Motherboard box. (Cant see for certain as the link to DVD below does not work)
