February 3, 200917 yr Author I'm sorry to say that I give up. It seems I'm one of those unlucky people unable to run tileproxy. Thank you for your support and help. I hope next version (when it comes) will work for me.
February 4, 200917 yr One more possible reason why Tileproxy may show standard scenery only:The flight simulator executable has been renamed from fsx.exe to something different.(it does not matter what the name of the .lnk file is that is in the start menu, howeverthe simulator program file must be named FSX.exe or the tileproxy.sys driver will notprovide any services to it).Similarly for Flight Simulator 2004, the executable file name must be fs9.exeChristian
February 5, 200917 yr Author It is FSX.exe. I appreciate your help but I really belive I can't run it properly. The only thing which comes to mind is Kaspersky but I either pause it or close compeletly.
February 12, 200917 yr Unfortunately I am having much the same problem. What is really annoying is that I had tileproxy working at one point and I cannot isolate what caused it to stop working. I have completely re-installed FSX and tileproxy to no avail. Once you have tasted of tileproxy its hard to go back to FSX default or even add-on scenery for that matter. The correct tiles are being downloaded but not read by FSX. My scenery folder is set-up appropriately. February 14, 200917 yr the other thing is, Ed Truthan's excellent tutorial states"Then boot FS and load a flight. Now wait a while. Depending on which version of FS you're using it may take 5-15 or more minutes to download all the textures from the internet and load them into FS (longer usually for FSX than FS9). Be patient. The FS loading bar will slow at certain places and seem to stall when tiles begin to download. This is normalUnfortunately, my flights loads up at normal speed, it just that whilst loading, it generates a stack load of errors such as"SCENERY.DAT file error. Close Flight Sim and delete f"\tpchache\tileproxy photoreal world\1005\scenery\ptx8444."i am definitely downloading the jpegs now, i can see them in the cache.service1 folders...Many thanks in advance for any assitance here...
