Weather Radius for Airports

I have noticed on a few flights the weather reported on ASX and reported in the ATIS covers only a part of the airport. For example at KSLC the visibility was reported as 2 sm, but south of the field the actual visibility was greater than 10 miles, but once 1000 feet down the runway the visibility dropped to 2 sm.Is the a method to set the weather fully arounf the airport?ThanksLouis

Hi,When you are south of the field is there another airport active in ASX?

Just as an FYI, I've experienced this at LFPG a few days back. I had partly cloudy/rain halfway down the runway (26L IIRC) while it was clear skies on approach. It was an interesting anomaly to say the least :)
