I have recently installed the 747 FSX ..and I can't change the mfd from the app mode..to map ...or plan...and that makes navigation impossible...could someone please tell me what the problem is. thanks

If you are in VC mode, try changing cameras by pressing A then back with Shift+A. This refreshes the VC view, which sometimes locks up if you are opening other windows.
