Bought it and flew it around last night some (FSX). I too trained and earned my PPL in a 172N. I didn't go into any real maneuvers with it as I didn't really have time for a proper flight test, but the pattern work seemed to fit with my real work procedures pretty well. The 3d panel is so close to what I trained in, that alone is reason enough to buy it! :-) I did learn with a Garmin 430 and I did not have an ADF.I'll post more as I have more time to play around in it. Want to try some power on/off stalls and cross wind landings in before I file a proper flight report.I recommend it.

Thanks Dondo. I look forward to your results.Jim

I tested the FSX version.Very good textures, the VC is really well done.Flight dynamics are quite close to the real one unless you want to make stalls, spins and so on (carenado didn't tweak the flight model like realair can do it).The price is reasonnable for what you have.Fred

what about night lighting? can you turn on and off the dome light independent of the gauge backlighting?
