February 14, 200917 yr I've got a Thrustmaster Topgun Afterburner II joystick and detachable throttle combination. Until recently it was performing with no problems. What's happening now is that no matter what aircraft I use during taxi, the throttle advances by itself even with the throttle itself in the idle position. I go from idle to 30,40 100% speed while taxiing. I can't find any reason for this and this particular unit does not need drivers so that's not an issue. I'm assuming that this is a throttle problem and not your usual FS X problem although I'm sure I could be wrong about that.If anyone has any idea how to cure this I'd be most grateful for your advice.I'm running on a Dell Dimension 9100, 250GHD and 4G mem.Jack Fentress
February 14, 200917 yr As a first port of call, I'd re-calibrate your stick and throttle (Control Panel, Game Controllers (XP), not sure what it's called in Vista). I've done that and although it helped another little problem it didn't solve the major problem of then throttle living it's own life. Jack F.

Jack F.During the throttle calibration, did the graphic that shows the movement of the throttle just show smooth movement up and down? Were there no instances of the graphic displaying inputs you weren't making yourself? February 16, 200917 yr Hi Jack; Check out the "Settings"->"Controls" to see whether some other button/control (like mouse yoke/look) is also assigned to the throttle. i7 [email protected] | 32GB RAM | EVGA RTX 3080Ti | Maximus Hero VII | 512GB 860 Pro | 512GB 850 Pro | 256GB 840 Pro | 2TB 860 QVO | 1TB 870 EVO | Seagate 3TB Cloud | EVGA 1000 GQ | Win10 Pro | EK Custom water cooling.
