Over the years I've uploaded quite a bit of freeware scenery and scenery objects to the Avsim libraries. I've never asked for donations before, but I'd like to now. I've already been told by Rick Case that it's OK for me to include a donation request in files that I upload. I'd also like to know if it's OK to post a message on a couple of forums (probably FS9 & FS9 Scenery) asking those who have downloaded and enjoyed my work to consider making a donation. Everything I've uploaded will remain free to anyone regardless of whether or not I get any donations. If I'm allowed to do this, should I get the request reviewed and OK'd by someone prior to posting it, or just go ahead a post it?Thanks in advance for your assistance.

It is okay to put a file or html page in your upload requesting a donation, however, please do not post requests in the forums. If you do that, then we will see hundreds of others pontentially wanting to do the same and that would not be a good thing. Do you have your own web site? If so, we suggest you have your embedded file point back to it, where you can further solicit donations. As for the library uploads; right now the library is down and we hope to have it up and running later today.
