help! "Could notopen "D:\Programfiles\microsoft games\fs2\aircraft\Boeing

hi,I was wondering if anyone could help me open a texture its a bitmap image... everytime I try to open it in Photoshop 7.0 or other paint programs I get a simalar error... whats the problem? :-(could not open "D:program filesmicrosoft gamesfs2aircraftboeing 777-200 MJ UPS-GEtexture777interior1_L.bmp" because of disk error.Andrew

The error is caused because of the way that the image has been saved. I believe you need to 'un directX' it or something like that. Look around for image tool, that ought to get you started on the right path :)Good luck!

Hi Andrew,you can't open the bitmap, because it's an extended image (e.g. 32 bit or DXT3). But MS were kind enough to include a program with FS2002 Pro called 'imagetool', which will open those bitmaps. It is in the following folder: "Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFS2002gmaxFlightsimgamepacksFlightSim" (Yes, they hid it well).If you have the standard version, you can get the program free (but I don't know where - presumably the Gmax site).Hope this helps,Cheers,Gosta.http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg
