This is not exactly a FS quest but since FS is affected. I formated c: yesterday & installed WinXP Pro. The problem is, sometimes when I am in windows explorer & click on "D" drive the little plus sign goes away & explorer stops responding. I have not been able to decide what is the catalyst in this error. Any ideas? Thanks.Pat Callaghan

After you installed WinXP, did you install the updated drivers for your controller chips and disk drive accelerator. Did you download and install WinXP SP1 and pre-SP2 updates from the Microsoft update website?If not, that is where I would start to see if the problem is corrected.
