Question: 737 NG 2.0 - Which MCP style?

Hello,I noticed that there are (at least) two MCP styles in 737 NG cockpits:Odd... I can't link to airliners.net... At WestJet we have both of them in our planes. I think your first link is the older style and the newer style is obviously the bottom link. Functionally they both work fine. Cosmetically, the second one is "prettier".Jack

They're really the same. The pilots can use both.

Steve,I am sure you are correct.I found this bit interesting and wonder to what degree these systems will be modeled in 2.0:

"From line number 1278 onwards (Feb 2003) the Rockwell Collins enhanced MCP was introduced. This was designed to operate with the new Collins enhanced digital flight control system with integrates the autothrottle computer and Flight Control Computer (FCC) to enable Cat IIIb autoland. Note the Cat IIIb EDFCS has a rudder servo and can perform an engine out autoland."
