To be honest, I am just a flight simulator addict. I am not a code basher, so I am just guessing that the delay when entering a fix into the FMS is due to some system latency such as file access but then maybe not. Maybe the problem you describe is perfectly normal on your system. You didn't provide much information and I assumed you were familiar with the 737 and suddenly you noticed something acting differently. I just offered a suggestion based on a long list of assumptions but would be glad to try to be of more assistance given more information.
