May 3, 200917 yr This is often caused by too high display settings in FSX combined with too limited hardware. What display settings do you use in FSX and what hardware do you use (cpu/mobo, ram, graphics card (gpu, memory)? Do you use the bufferpools setting in fsx.cfg and what setting do you use?I get texture problems and hangs using the PMDG-11 and 747 when I use instant replay after a long flight. Never happens if I use DX10 though. During normal flight the ladies keep their textures on.
May 4, 200917 yr Well I would not call my system underpowered...I run at 1680x1050.Depends on what display settings you run FSX. My system is underpowered if I run FSX with all settings maxed out and with 100% airtraffic over New York.
May 4, 200917 yr I wonder: could the vid card be running outta memory when this happens?Have you tried running with the DX10 preview on.I run a 8800GTX at 1920x1200 and had the same problem until I turned the preview on. It has now been several months with many flights and, for me, the problem seems solved.
May 8, 200917 yr I also have this problem with pmdg md11 and 747pmdg knows about this issue , and they reccomend FSX reinstall, but installing the pmdg aircraft before any other addon during the reinstall. PLEASE DONT WASTE YOU WEEK DOING THIS CAUSE IT DONT CHNAGE A THING.I still get this problem when switcthing from windowed to fullscreen mode, but these helped me reduce the frequency at which i get the problem1 - uninstall SP2, start fsx flight, restart pc2 - reinstall Sp1, start fsx flight3 - reistall sp2, start fsx flightThese helped some of us having the issues, but the problem did not completely dissapear.
