May 7, 200917 yr Hi good Folks,Although I have read the manual I am not quite sure how the "chatter engine" for pr-recorded chatter files really function.I have three questions:1) For the purpose of rationalize the need for chatter files all folders belonging to a certain country can be linked to a coherrent country folder. Is this also valid for the OCEANIC FIR folder(s) - i.e Can those folders also be linked to a country folder when the latter contains the ATCO sub-folder ?2) Is it possible to have airport specific chatter folders by naming Winwood folders with the appropriate ICAO codes and have them canned up with chatter files in only the sub folders; app, twr, gnd , cd and dep ? 3) How is the "chatter engine" working with an empty or missing sub-folder ( app, atc1 and so on); will RC first use existing chatter files in the sub folders within the FIR folder but for those sub-folders that are empty or missing instead use those in the country folder if a link ($country.txt) is made; or does a link ($country.txt) mean that RC will fully ignore the FIR folder regardless if any sub folder is canned and only use the chatter files in the country folder?- A sub-question here; if the answer to 2) is yes, will RC switch between the controllers chatter files (atc1,2 and 3 ) for the actual FIR and the chatter files in the airport folder? Carl1) i don't see why not. i haven't tried it though.2) yes, make the folder the icao code. KJFK for instance. then app, twr, dep, etc under it3) no, i don't think so. if you it is granular enought to have a KJFK folder, and app is missing in KJFK, it's not going to play the USA\app files.3a) i don't know. i don't think so. jd JD Read my blog
