For some reason I suddenly only see one message in a thread where previously I could scroll down through the entire thread.I cannot seem to locate the place where I can reset how messages are displayed.Please advise.

Nope - that does have the setting I was seeking -But I just found it when viewing a reply - somehow my "view in linear mode" setting had been disabled. Works fine now. :(
