Blurry Textures when panning (Only PMDG)

Featured Replies

Hey folks - Not sure why, but I get a weird blurring effect when the textures of the PMDG MD-11 get a certain distance from the camera. In a static view from the sides, everything is crystal clear, but as I pan around the aircraft, the furthest textures go noticeably blurry. Has anyone run into this, or know of a graphics card setting or PMDG setting I can change to fix it? It doesnt happen in any other aircraft I dont thinkHere's a sample:Hmmm.jpg

I had this happen to me with their 747-400 on FS2004 when using dxt3 textures. I noticed that when it happened all I would have to do is zoom in close to the aircraft and then zoom back out and it would clear. I then went back to the 32bit textures; it has never happened with the MD-11 though which only has DXT3 textures for the paints by PMDG.Dan Schultz

Odd - it only happens on some Repaints....the Centurion Air Cargo paint at Flightsim.com doesn't do it, but the FedEx paint from Flightsim.com DOES do it - as well as the default PMDG PaintsDoes anyone know how I can modify the paints that do, so they don't anymore???

Anyone have any idea? It looks like the view angle determines when the blurryness sets in.

It's mip mapping. You need to increase your anistrophic filtering...
