  1. It may be the same issue that some people saw with the NGX. It was a FSUIPC issue. Here's the original thread: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/349865-nose-down-and-no-acceleration/
  2. Looking forward to uninstalling my imaginesim KIAD.
  3. I had an AMD 965 BE and I saw a big improvement when I move to an Intel 875k. I'm curious about the new AMD chips coming out later this year. They have two eight cores coming out with onne running at 4.7GHz and the other at 5GHz.
  4. Gabe, Ebo has done a repaint of the MD-11. It's in the free stuff section of the REX forum.
  5. The + and - are the same thing as putting an A (at or above) or B (at or below) at the end of an altitude restriction in a Boeing FMC. Example, 245/5000+ in the MD-11 is the same as 245/5000A in a Boeing.
  6. Anyone? Man I need to learn how to use adobe.
  7. Any painters out there interested in painting up an MD-11 in the new American Airlines livery?
  8. It's not the longest but I've flown a UAL flight from Washington Dulles to Kuwait at 12.9hrs.
  9. On ILS I disconnect both at the FAF if I have the runway in sight and the aircraft is on a stable approach. RNAV and approaches like the parkway visual into 13R/L into KJFK I disconnect further out.
  10. When having less than 5000lbs of fuel in the center tank I remember to turn on the pumps after 10000 but I have a habit of not turning them off when I have 1000 lbs left. When I used to fly the 747 I would forget to direct to tank also.
  11. According to CP's website you need the pmdg flightsim labs driver (payware) for it to work. http://www.flightsimlabs.com/interfaces/cpflight-mcppro-fsx/ The link is for the fsx version, there's a different driver for FS9. The driver is payware at 60euros.
  12. Personally I can't use this thing in FSX, but in DCS A10C it's a must!
  13. Just load JP4 into it through the FMC. I found out about this back when it released on a PANC to KEWR flight in the winter when both my outboard engines died after I ignored the warning.
  14. It can be a little hard on FPS as stated above but for me it performs better than V1, AI traffic plays a big role because of how busy an airport KATL is. I too am a little ###### that they didn't offer an upgrade price for previous customers but with the new terminal it's a must have and they have added a lot more detail. Not near fly tampa, FSDT, or flightbeam quality but still good, better then blueprint.
  15. It does have to run in the background. I saw no performance impact at all.
  16. The did not do a 2d panel for the throttle pedestal.
  17. I've seen that but I'm leary because I've had bad luck with FPS drops when running multiple displays. Haven't tried it with my nvidia 560 ti though, the last time was with a 250 OC.
  18. I would love to see pmdg do an app for iOS and android that would display the PFD and EFIS on a tablet while you're flying. There's an app for iPad that will display the PFD but it doesn't work with pmdg planes. Add checklists, fuel planner, and derate calculations, you would have one hot selling app!
  19. Clive, I responded to your thread over at REX, Reed has posted a fix for this.
  20. That's correct

You only need to mess with base clock when you have a locked multiplier.
  22. During beta testing I did have some minor wind shifts but not at every weather injection and the shifts that did occur weren't enough to really hurt the plane. I did not have any pressure issues. I achieved these results using FSUIPC wind and pressure smoothing, I had wind smoothing disabled in Essentials.
  23. That version should be overdrive. It shoud also say it on the main menu at the top. We also have all of the version numbers listed on the REX forum.
  24. I use this is as well for all of the reasons outlined by Ryan. As far as REX goes it downloads the weather info directly from NOAA so you really have a better chance of getting hit by a meteor than getting a virus.
  25. Dulles to Kuwait. I flew this back in June of 2012 on United and it would be great to do it without the kid who was screaming the whole way for 12.9 hours.
