ww2we.jpgCheck out the Press Announcement about WWII Weekend, and the other news articles I have posted on the WW2WE front page ... http://www.maam.org/maamwwii.html It's going to be a really memorable show! I'm especially looking forward to having two Doolittle Raiders, including Dick Cole, Jimmy's co-pilot, fly our B-25. I have a flight set up for them featuring Chuck Lawsen's "Ruptured Duck" repaint ready for takeoff aboard the USS Hornet of the Virtual Navy's Task Force 16 scenery. Should make a great photo op!You can download both the skin and TF-16 scenery from our Free Stuff Pages and try it yourself. You can also grab the FS9 FLT and WX files I created for them at http://www.maam.org/flightsim/enhance/Doolittle_Flt.zip. Unzip and copy both files to your Flight Simulator Files folder with your other flights and give it a try. (If you do not know where that folder is located - it's not in your FS directory - do a search for it.)If any of you are in range of Reading this weekend, June 5,6,7, pull out all the stops and try to make the show. The weatherman is even calling for a break from our customary steamy/rainy weekend this year! Predicted highs are 71, 80, and 79, respectively, with no precip in sight and partly cloudy skies. The re-enactor grunts will have to do without the all too realistic quagmire in their camp, but I doubt anyone will complain! If you do make it, MAAM-SIM will be set up just inside the main hangar doors on the left. Stop by and say hi.Cheers, Bill

Hi Bill, that sounds really great! I wish you and Mark a lot of fun :( GreetingsTim
Hi Tim,We had it! Just back and it was a really great show, despite a wet beginning on Friday. The actual full show days, Saturday and Sunday were perfect with huge crowds, and despite having no new products this time around, we did not do too badly at the MAAM-SIM display, either. We'll correct that next year with at least one - probably more new packages. The all new native FSX R4D/C-47/DC-3 will be first up, so we'll have some new paint and test pilot work for you soon. :-)I'll be posting some pictures in the MAAM WWII Weekend Photo Galleries soon. Jack Roush's P-51B "Old Crow" was especially thrilling to see, along with it's original pilot, triple-ace Bud Anderson.I was going to shoot off an e-mail to you tonight, in fact. I sold a copy of the B-25 CD to Larry Kelly, owner/pilot of "Panchito". Your skin of that bird was one lost in the AVSIM debacle, so if you would send me a copy, or upload it elsewhere, so I can get it to Larry, we would both appreciate it. Please also upload any more of your liveries, for all of our planes, which were likewise lost. We miss them.Cheers, Bill

Hi Bill, glad to hear you had a great weekend! I'm looking forward to the pictures :( The Maam-Sim DC-3 ist stil my favourite aircraft and I am really excited about the new FSX version. Considering the amazing quality of the TBM I'm more than sure that it will be a worthy successor of the FS9 legend. And during the development of Rob Capper's FSX DC-2 I have learned how to create textures, bump mapping textures and specular textures for FSX...so I'm ready B) :(

So far I haven't created a "Panchito" livery for the B-25. John Terrell did one and you can find it in the SOH File Library. My files are all availabe at flightsim.com. I don't have a direct link, though. But just search for "Tim Scharnhop" :( GreetingsTim

Thanks, Tim. My error. I'm getting 404's over at SOH right now, but I'll get through eventually.
