Wow!I've been reading Success on the Step about Kenmore Air Harbor flight service. Great book!Anyway, one of the missions they flew was to supply a research station at the South Cascade Glacier, landing in this little teeny kidney bean shaped lake (pond maybe). It's well described in the book, so I thought I'd give it a try. What a rush, awesome scenery, too. Took off out of Kenmore Air Harbor (W55) and flew to 48 22 19/121 04 04. On rough draft, I found it best to come from the west and land around where the lake outlets. The landing is pretty easy. The takeoff is scary though, just made it. 'Spose I should have checked the weight, I bet I had nearly full tanks. Anyway, I wanna go over the route Bob Munro took again from the book so I can do it just like he did. The scenery is awesome around there (I'm using UTX and the VIC Plus scenery addons with the FSG terrain and scenery tech landclass). Gonna take a movie when I get it right, and it would make a cool mission, especially in bad weather.For those who might want to switch to watching the scenery from the passenger seats, I've created cameras for that. Just insert the following after the CameradDefinition.003 section in the default DHC2 aircraft.cfg file. Good info about the DH2 flight. I think it's always fun to re-create real world flights. Were you using any add-on terrain mesh?Also thanks for posting the extra cameras. Sometimes it's nice to have pax views on some aircraft. I admit, I usually fly the Maule for bush-type flying but I'll have to get into the DH2 as soon as I get my sim going again :)
