ASA + IAS Speed in PMDG 737 and Wilco A320

Featured Replies

Hello,I bought ASA last week. Great software, except for some errors during 3 of my flights. At first, the Wilco A319 was climbing after departure in cologne to FL350. When passing FL190, the wind changed direction about 70

Hi,Speed dropping to zero may mean icing of the PITOT tube. Try with Shift/h to turn on PITOT heat. Please read the revisions text to read about some suggested settings when using the PMDG planes. Thanks,

No, PITOT HEAT is on. And it's not only PMDG, Wilco too.

Just because it is on indicated by the panels, doesn't necesarily mean that it is indeed on. Has to do with the inner logic of FS. Just be sure to press shift-H to make sure it is really on. If you do this before you enter icing conditions you should never have any problems.

Hi,One more suggestions would be to fly a flight without IVAO.Thanks,

Did some tests:Shift+h on every flight:A.Floor Warning with Wilco Airbus. Same Problem.Flight without IVAO:Same Problem as above.

Hi,Is DWC On or Off in ASA?Thanks,

Direct Wind Control and Smoothing is activated. Winds Aloft are enabled, too.

Hi,OK, and with those you still get an airspeed of zero? Thanks,

I also get IAS dropping to 0 flying my favourite Maddog. This is regardless of whether the panel Anti Icing/Pitot heating is turned on (very realistic on this aircraft),or whether I press Shift H as wellor whether I fly online or offline. The only way to really solve this is to move the Icing slider to 0 in ASA. This stops it from happening, but unfortunately removes the realism of icing (which the aircraft designers spent a lot of time simulating on the Maddog) from any flight. This has been a problem since AS5, but the above solution does stop your flights from being spoilt!Hope this helps,Neil
