June 9, 200916 yr Since upgrading to MD-11 v1.20.0055 on FSX/Vista I've been getting a lot of CTDs. The latest occured shortly after taking off from LAX on a VFR flight, just as I engaged autoflight. The Application Error isFaulting application fsx.exe, version 10.0.61637.0, time stamp 0x46fadb14, faulting module PMDG_MD11.DLL, version 10.0.61355.62, time stamp 0x49b7c81d, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x00118301, process id 0x1344, application start time 0x01c9e8f2c14633d3.Any ideas? I've been getting CTDs with DirectX10 turned on and off....James Butler
June 9, 200916 yr James, try an advanced search in the forum for CTDs. You should get a lot of hits. Although the occurence of CTDs was eliminated during beta testing, there are still a few that experience these but the events are very difficult to reproduce due to different systems and environments. Wish I could offer more but hopefully one of the threads you find in the search will contain the solution that works in your system. Dan Downs KCRP
June 9, 200916 yr Author One thing that is recommended in many CTD threads is not to use any panel states from a previous version. When I look in the panel folder on my system, the dates of the panels are 27th December 2008, which I suspect means they are from update 1.10.0051. Maybe when I installed the 1.20.0055 update, the panels didn't get updated?James Butler
June 9, 200916 yr I recall that... you are on to something I think. Do not use panel states older than the update. Dan Downs KCRP
June 9, 200916 yr Author I've just checked: I deleted (renamed) the panels folder, created an empty panels folder, reinstalled the 1.20.0055 update and it installed the panels dated 27th December 2008. So if that's correct, the problem is something else.James Butler
