June 10, 200916 yr Clearance-Media.com lists software at a very low price. Has anyone had experience with this source? I would not want to purchase from an illegal source.Example: Microsoft Windows XP Pro Edition x64 bit for $68 to $78.Link is as follows:http://www.clearance-media.com/index.php?m...CFQxM5QodRlAQewYou can also simply do a Google search for "Windows XP 64 bit" and it is the first link that pops up.If anyone knows anything about this site, the information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks:RTH

June 11, 200916 yr I looked them up on Reselleratings.com but could not locate their company. As far as the Academic edition goes, you need to be in college or school or be a teacher from what I've readhttp://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/eula/home.mspxACADEMIC EDITION SOFTWARE. To use Software identified as "Academic Edition" or "AE," you must be a "Qualified Educational User." June 18, 200916 yr I saw your post regarding "Clearance Media" on "Google," and wanted to provide an account of my experience. I ordered a copy of Windows XP Pro on 6/8/09, at a few minutes 'til midnight. The cost was $93.00, VERY reasonable; the shipping was $10.35, a bit pricey for UPS Ground (delivery in 5 - 10 days), in my opinion. However, considering that my order was placed just minutes before midnight, I feel it only fair to start the delivery "countdown" as of June 9th rather than June 8th. Anyway, I was pleased when my order arrived at 10:30 a.m. June 16th - achieving delivery within five days (excluding the weekend), the shortest of the delivery estimate timeframe. While I have not yet loaded my new OS, I do not anticipate any problems. It is in the original, hermetically heat-sealed, plastic sleeve, contains the Product Key, Serial Number, and all the official markings usually found on Microsoft Windows OS discs, and the "recorded surface" appears to be pristine, containing no lines, markings, scratches, or blemishes of any kind. Ergo, I consider this - my first and only experience with "Clearance Media" - to be quite satisfactory. Of course, mine is but one story. There are surely many others, and hopefully a number of people will respond as I did, thus providing more data on which to judge the company's overall level of customer satisfaction.Regards, zenovice Clearance-Media.com lists software at a very low price.
