ASA on a netbook

Featured Replies

Couple of questions, do you think a netbook with WinXP and an Atom Processor would be up to running ASA as the client PC when networked to the main FSX PC. I was also considering using it for connecting FSX to Google Earth. Also, I have installed and registered ASA on my main PC, can I also install it on the client PC and register it there as well?i7 EE @ 4Ghz, GTX 280, 6Gb RAM, Vista 64.Terry

I don't think the EULA actually allows one licence to be activated twice...That is my interpretation and understanding, but I am not affiliated to HiFiSim in any way...Andrew

Hi Terry,What are more system specs of your Netbook? Both ASA and Google Earth are pretty intensive programs. I use both on my networked computer with FS04, but mine is an older desktop computer. I just wonder about the graphics capabilities. No, you can only use ASA on one computer, as the other user pointed out. Thanks,

Hi Jim, I was only considering a netbook with a view to running ASA etc simply because they are relatively cheap and would fit nicely on my limited desk space, however, they probably aren't powerful enough. If I were to install ASA on a laptop, would I have to buy another copy, since the original is already installed and registered on the FSX PC.Terry

Hi,No, a second copy would not be necessary. Just uninstall from the FSX PC and then re-install on the networked computer. Thanks!
