June 14, 200916 yr Hi, I've searched but I can't find the exact solution to this. Can someone please kindly tell me how to add the default MS GPS to the PMDG 737 panel.cfg? I know the stuff to addWindowXX=GPS[WindowXX]size_mm=456,378window_size=0.5position=8BACKGROUND_COLOR=0,0,0VISIBLE=0ident=GPS_PANELgauge00=fs9gps!gps_500, 0,0I tried doing so but it does not appear. I also tried editing the names of some of the other windows like Window14=Right CDUWindow15=Lower EICAS Popupbut when i go to Views > Instrument Panel in FS2004, The names are exactly the same as before I edited them which means the changes I make to the panel.cfg file are not reflected. I'd appreciate it if someone can help me out here, Thanks. And please guys no FMC preaching, I'm well aware that the FMC is the real and ideal way to fly and real flight enthusiasts/pilots use it, but i'd rather take a more casual approach to my flying and use the GPS as I do not have a lot of time on my hands to sit down and learn it.
June 15, 200916 yr It is not going to work since PMDG Autopilot is custom Built and whatever you put into the GPS the AP cant read it
June 15, 200916 yr Thanks for the reply, but I really dont need the AP to fly the GPS route, I just need to be able to see my route visually on the GPS and use it standalone, not necessarily linked to the AP. Any ideas on how I can get the GPS to show up? Thanks once again.

June 17, 200916 yr Program your flight plan into the FMS and the EHSI wll desplay the magenta line of your chosen route. There is no need for a second GPS display of that same information, unless I am missing something here.Tony Best regards from Tony, at the helm of the flying desk.
June 18, 200916 yr Thanks for the replies guys. I think I'm just gonna have to go ahead and learn the way of the PMDG FMC... sigh. Is there a short tutorial that can explain the BASICS real quickly, such as how to quickly program a direct route from point A to point B, view the magneta on the HSI, and get the FMC to setup an ILS approach? The PMDG Manual goes real in depth, and i'll read all that later, when I'm on vacation off work, but right now i just need a tutorial that's simple and covers the basics. Thanks.
