June 15, 200916 yr Hi all,Firstly let me say that Radar Contact is an amazing programme, and just takes FSX to another level. I am really really loving this ad don and it has just made everything so much more real!! Please keep up the work guys.Ok so now on to my question. I am having a few problems with the ATC and Vectors to final.I was flying into an airport LMML - Malta payware version, I think it was runway 31 I had planned to land on.I use charts and fly the approaches as per the charts using SIDS and STARS and have these planned in to my flight plan. (I have read the Manual)However on occasion I rather like to the Interaction of Vectors from ATC, But I have noticed and It may just be me or something I am doing wrong, but the Radar Contact ATC really dont vector me to final at all. Now I could be wrong here but I assumed the Vectors to Final when ATC clear me for the ILS would be that they would vector me towards the ILS cone but its up to me to line up on it. However In this case and as in the 5 or 6 times I have used Vectors to final the ATC send me miles if not in the totally wrong direction. I Have been cleared "Maintain 2000 untill established" etc.So in my last case flying in to LMML the Last Vectors were "Turn heading 165 maintain 3000 until established" however this is no where near the ILS cone in fact it just vectored me away from the island and the airport??A little Info on my Setup and what I am doing.I have the flight planned and created with the SID-STAR. This works and correlates with RC when I fly and programme any FMC I useI use Active Sky Advanced for weather with the Flight Plan imported. The last flight was done with the Wilco A320 (AIRAC 0906 cycle)LMML payware SceneryRadar Contact Airports updated i.e I rebuilt the Scenery DB before the flight and then restarted RC.I am not complaining at all here I just cant figure out why the vectors are so wild, I don't think I have ever really been lined up with the runway correctly by RC yet.Any Help/advice or tips would be greatKind RegardsJason Chandler
June 15, 200916 yr I experienced the same problem, from CYUL to KLAX, RC told me heading like 60 at 4000 when runway is 24L ?!I tought it was because I, for the first time, used Otto for both Com and Autopilot... :(Alain from Montreal

I would usually fly an IAP for this, but ill take the vectors tonight and see what happens.Ill make a log just in case.I always rebuild the scenery DB in RC after adding a new Scenery and first loading it in FSX.Thanks for your help so far.Jason
June 15, 200916 yr Scenery DB was rebuilt a week ago, will log next time for sure ! i will redo this flight later this week, thanks !Alain from Montreal
