June 18, 200916 yr I have a plane I want to add an autopilot to. I have the autopilot gauge on the panel. I have enabled the autopilot in the aircraft.cfg and air files. The altitude feature works OK. In heading or NAV mode it does not work. The aircraft.cfg has an autopilot section with what seem like the right entries. I have a VOR also that works. What else do I have to do to get the HDG and NAV functions to work right? Thanks, regards, Bob.

What were the specific elements that needed to be added? I see that your smoke coordinates are not right for FSX. They are the FS9 ones. I already have modified mine to fit FSX. I've added AP's to a lot of planes and never had this problem. I use the AP to get to the crop fields which are not nearby my home airfield. It makes it a lot easier, (LOL) Regards, Bob.
