Nvidia drivers -upgrade

Featured Replies

Hi, I am running FS9.1 with a Geforce 7800GTX card and I am using 175.19 driver. I decided yesterday to finally upgrade my driver to 182.50. When I started up FS9, I noticed that when the panel view appeared that there was a black gap at the bottom of the screen where the notification that the brakes are applied, when I release the brakes the black gap disappears. This black gap at the bottom of the screen only appears in the panel view. I have since tried 181.20 and 186.19 drivers with the same result. However, If I rollback to my original driver (175.19) the problem does not arise. Has anyone else come across this problem? Many thanks

The newest drivers do not always play well or give any type of performance increase to old hardware. They are upgraded for the newest hardware (in this case the 200 series video cards). If your installation of FS9 is working just fine with the 175.19 drivers, stay with those drivers. There is no sense in fixing something that is not broke.
