UNICOM Pilot Control Lighting

Featured Replies

Does anyone remember how to turn on the pilot controlled lighting at uncontrolled airports in FU3? I remember it was the "l" key in FU2....but that turns on the landing lights in FU3. Can't seem to find it in the manual or google. Thanks in advance..-tz

I think it's the "Q" key.

You're right, except (I don't mean to be petty) isn't it a lower case 'q'? I'm replying from work but know the shift key or the caps setting make a difference. And thanks, Chris, for your upgrades. And Avsim for looking after them. I used FU3/2 for months & months without being aware of any upgrades but now, wow, what a difference.

You are correct, Dave. When I stated the "Q" key, it was simply because the character is displayed in upper case on the keyboard! With respect to the upgrades, you are very welcome. They certainly do make a huge difference to both high resolution regions, which is why I made the effort in the first place :( I would also recommend installing Ansgar Avermeyer's High Detail AI Pack, because the improved AI plane models make a massive difference to the realism of FU3. In addition, make sure that you set anti aliasing and anisotropic filtering on your graphics card to at least 4x and 8x respectively. Those two smooth out the edges to models and the horizon, and significantly reduce terrain texture shimmering.
