Shoosing sound

Featured Replies

Hi,I have a sound problem in FSX (happens slightly in other games, but I use FSX primarily), and I am helping someone can help me.With certain aircraft sounds (LDS in particular) the sounds at times seem to change up and down in pitch. I don't mean the change in pitch due to engine speed. It is best described as a "shoosh" from high to low, on top of the regular aircraft sounds. It's hard to describe. It disappears eventually but then if you press "Q" and "Q" again it comes back. If i swap the sounds in teh LDS767 for different ones the problem goes, and I have noticed it with other sound packs I have, so I don't mean to say that it is related to the aircraft or developer in particular, just that I have noticed it with the LDS. As I don't know what this problem might be called, if it even has a name, I don't know where to start looking for information :( I have updated my sound card drivers and whilst this has improved it, it hasn't resolved the problem. Anyone else seen this?ThanksJonathanSpecs:E8500 3.16GTS250 1Mb with 185.5 drivers4Gb RamCreative X-FI Extreme Gamer sound cardAsus P5E mobo
