I use Radar Contact, and so prior to TOD, I insert a fix in order to calculate the approprate TOD point. Initially, I enter an altitude restriction of FL120. But it seems the descent is started a few miles early, in order to reduce speed to 245kts by my 120 restriction.My question is, is there any way to remove the 250kt restriction below FL100, to force the FMC to calculate the descent at whatever the cruise speed is?The manual referes to changing the cruise altitide to get around this, but it wasn't very clear and doesn't go into any detail.I've tried entering the cruise speed with the altitude restriction, but it seems to have no effect on the TOD point, and you can see on previous fixes that the speed is still be reduced to 245.Any help appreciated.

Select the VERT REV from a waypoint and you can change (but not delete) the restriction, so you can set something like 300/6000.Paul
