July 3, 200916 yr G'day all,I recently had need to print from FSX the navigation log for a nice flight plan I had drafted. Problem was, it wouldn't print. :( So - because I needed to print "right now!" - to get around the problem I just print-screened it, pasted into Paint and printed it off from there. A bit of extra work, yeah, but I didn't then have the inclination to start beating around looking for the answer.Tonight I did a search on this problem and found the answer in a pretty surprising place... A post made in Jan. 2006 about FS9! (See the post here: FS9 will not print ....) I read it thinking, "Nah! But I'll give it a go." It turned out to be correct, even though I'm using FSX on Win7 RC1 with FireFox installed.I'm sorry, but I feel this is either poor (or lazy) programming design or a deliberate attempt to make us poor customers who dare to try other vendor products more dependent on MS's own facilities.Rant mode off... Slowly returning to normalcy now. July 3, 200916 yr Owi:Yes, as far as I know, FSX will not print. However, if you need to refer to the nav log created by FSX's flight planner during a flight, you can bring up the kneeboard (I don't recall the default key - mine is mapped to a joystick button), which includes the nav log. After you set your radios you can close the kneeboard and enjoy your flight.

July 3, 200916 yr I just write that stuff down on a piece of paper. When I do Reviews, I keep pencil and paper handy to take notes, so a few more scribbles aren't bothersome. Sometimes, I will draw my own approach plates, too. I never realized that printing from FSX was a concern, so it's good to bring the topic up. I just never bothered with the high-tech solution. July 4, 200916 yr I would guess that it wasn't done intentionally to try to force users not to use non-MS web browser, but that it was done out of laziness of simply calling default web browser instead of having it call for IE specifically.
