I just began starting the MD-11 with the engines off and I have a quick question about the GW entry on the Weight INIT page. When calculating the GW do I add the ZFW+total Fuel+ taxi Fuel or is the 1500lbs for taxi assumed? I read the section in the manual but I'm still a little confused; thanks.

You can enter the GW, but most will enter the ZFW, then allow the FMC to add the ZFW and FW to generate the GW. You can then check the GW against the dispatch release to make sure no errors have been made.Paul
