July 7, 200916 yr Can somebody please help? I'm outta ideas.I having problems with FS2004 when I open my kneeboard during flight and try to scroll the side bar with the up/down arrows on the kneeboard the screen goes black then I eventually get the old send/dont send msg, BUT if I use my mouse wheel to scroll it works with no problems. I was just gonna live with that issue but I found a simular problem with a aircraft.I just reinstalled Flight 1's ATR-72 and I just noticed a simular problem when I enter flight info into the FMC, when I press the side buttons on the FMC it does the same thing, but any other panel on the A/C I dont have that problem, nor any other A/C I have that problem either. IT's GETTING FUSTRAITING :( MY PC spec's areP4 2.8 ghz2gig DDR400500gig WD SATANVIDIA 6200 A-LE 256mb ramSB Audigy 2XP (SP3)
July 7, 200916 yr Well, Got a update, so far I fixed the issue with the FMC on the Flight 1 ATR by updating my video driver and downloading the latest version of FSUIPC and so far it fixed it. But the issue with the kneeboard is still puzzling me, anybody got any ideas? :(
July 7, 200916 yr I wonder if there's something funky in your "Flight Simulator 9\Aircraft\kneeboard_keys.htm" file?Mark

July 7, 200916 yr Try replacing it with the original which can be found on disc #1 in MSGAME1.cab.Joe The best gift you can give your children is your time.
July 7, 200916 yr Yeah, it's in the cab file...sorry got side tracked. There's bunch of stuff you can do with that file too. I've seen somewhere that you can add a link to your media player in that file. So if you want to listen to music or watch a movie in flight, you'd simply open the kneeboard and click on the link and your media player will open in the cockpit :)Mark

Its very confusing.I'm not having any problems with any of the buttons on the kneeboard such as the flightplan button, etc, but the very second I push the up or down scroll or try to grab the scroll bar with the mouse I get the black screen of death then the S/DS msg. Its wierd :(
July 7, 200916 yr I wonder if there is an aircraft check list for the ATR that the kneeboard is picking up? If there is one, then it's inside the Flight Simulator 9\Aircraft\ATR folder, (what ever the folder name is). Take a look in there and see if it exists and/or looks odd. You might want to check all of your aircraft folders...?Mark

The problem I'm having now is when I open the kneeboard I can click any button on it, flightplan, checklist, key reference, etc. BUT the second I press the scroll arrows, click on the scroll bar or click inside of the window of the kneeboard. Then I get the black screen of death, then the old s/ds msg, Thats the problem I'm having

July 8, 200916 yr Have you tried the Flight 1 Support forums by any chance? I'll bet the engineers who wrote the ATR code could provide some detailed insight. They at least know where their code is looking and they do appear to be pretty sharp. Well, at least its worth a try until someone here knows/discovers something interesting...Markhttp://atr.flight1.net/forums/

I'd appreciate it. BUT!?The problem I'm having with the kneeboard crashing FS9 to the desktop is still going on, it does not matter what aircraft I fly, the knee board issue is there, and it gets annoying, If I can fix that problem, It would be all good then.
