July 8, 200916 yr OK. I've concluded that if something weird is going to happen in FSX it is going to happen to me. This has never happened before. I started up the FlightOne Cessna 172 at KCID Cedar Rapids with real weather (15 min updates) activated. In VC mode, I got a completely gray/blue view out the front windshield with a normal view out the sides. It was raining at the time, but this is completely opaque, definitely not a weather view. The view out the 2D cockpit was normal. I tried several times by restarting FSX and the same result. When I deactivated real weather and went to a Fair Weather theme, I was relieved to have a normal view again. Later, after flying a while, I restarted real weather and the view was OK. Any idea what happened here?? Here is an example. Thanks. Tom

July 8, 200916 yr FSX shipped with some dummy VCRain textures. If you've got FS9 then you can copy the textures over from your FS9/Texture folder. The names are: VCRainMovingxxxx.bmp and VCRainStoppedxxxx.bmp, and there are 32 of them all together. Just copy them over to your FSX/Texture folder. You'll find that you only have this problem with FS9 imported aircaft. FSX natives don't have VC rain textures. Mike Beckwith
