Are you using a joystick?

You should be using rudder corrections to keep tracking the centreline of the runway. Since you will be in the left seat when flying most aircraft, the runway centreline should appear slightly to the right of the centre of the windshield when you are in the middle of the runway.Joysticks with a 'twist' function can have the rudder assigned to them (this is probably the cheapest and most practical method when you are just getting used to Flight Simulator, and you can probably find a joystick for about 20 quid which will do that). Alternatively, you can have Flight Simulator set up so that the rudder is automatically linked to the ailerons (the auto coordination rudder option in the realism settings of FS). If you have auto rudder on, you can use left and right movements of the stick (which controls the ailerons) to steer when on the ground. If you are not using a joystick, then you'll have to use the keyboard for the rudder, and that is very tricky to do.The best (but also the most expensive) option is to get a set of rudder pedals for your PC to use alongside your joystick, which would give you the exact same controls that an aircraft has. At a push you can use the throttle and brake pedals from a racing game steering wheel for the left and right rudder pedals, which would probably be okay.Welcome to AVSIM by the way, nice to have you here :( Al
