July 11, 200916 yr I give up! No matter what I do the stupid thing either freezes, says I am out of memory, looses half of the graphics so the cockpit is see through. I have a nice new system (i7, 6gig, gtx 285, vista premium 64bit, ASUS P6TSE) and ASA installed. The only air plane I run is the PMDG MD-11. Something always goes wrong and I basically cannot play the game. Does anyone know if there are any fixes coming from Microsoft?chris
July 12, 200916 yr Hi nor,I will hazard a guess about Microsoft fix,no; being that most of that part of the company no longer is employed.Have you tried uninstalling everything and then reinstall? As in start over. Make sure you have all the updated drivers, and if possible install FSX on it's own HD.Just some starting points, also use Nicks setup guide.Good luck! Ralph Peebles
July 12, 200916 yr Author Yeah, I have tried reinstalling. I also used the guide for installing, and all my drivers are up to date. I have tried deleting fsx.cfg. Nothing seems to work.
July 12, 200916 yr The other drastic thing you can do is reinstall the OS. Have you tried that? That may be your only option, now. Ralph Peebles
July 12, 200916 yr Have you tried flying the default Cessna 172? Whenever I encounter problems there are certain flights that I use to help evaluate what is causing the failures. I always start at the same airport (KPSC), same time (10:00 AM local time), clear skies with no weather selected, default Cessna 172 on default runway. If this everything on this flight is normal, I make only one change, such as adding Active Sky Advanced weather for instance. Then I make the same flight again. If everything is still normal I change aircraft to the one which was causing the problems. Good luck!Jim Kaye
