July 14, 200916 yr All I can say its a fantastic program, worth every euros. Much better than cargo pilot, and totally different than fspassengers. You can have your own fleet ai pilots, bases. taxes, fuel prices. from the job board you can pick long or short cargo jobs...etcBelive me im not a huge fan of such a addons, but this program is a FUN.
July 14, 200916 yr You have to pay for regular inspections and it tracks overall airframe condition (as a percentage), in addition, individual systems can get damaged (avionics and things such as flaps, spoilers etc), you can defer the repair of things if you like to take chances, or are short of cash, but the more damage you have, the more likely something else is to fail, so it does pay to keep tabs on maintenance and stay on top of it.It will never fail an engine though, since that was deemed 'counter to playability', although there is nothing stopping you from enabling that yourself in FS if you feel you really need more problems. Repairs are cheaper when your aircraft is at one of your bases (although a base has to have been in existence for some time before it has a specific repair facility), but you can repair an aircraft anywhere on the ground if you really need to and have the cash.It is possible to completely write off an aircraft if you crash it (and the AI pilots can damage them too if they are clumsy or you overwork them). Heavy landings will incur damage too, so you can insure your aircraft to cover most of the cost of repairs, but if you make too many claims for repairs, your aircraft will be blacklisted by the insurance companies and you won't be able to get cover for it, so it is sometimes worth stumping up the cash for a repair instead of using the insurance cover, in order to protect you claim ability.Generally speaking, the damage and maintenance tracking is quite entertaining, even if it does cause you to swear sometimes.Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
